Help needed - MAJOR

After some waffly conversations with my mum and my aunty this morning we have decided to look for their cousin, Elizabeth.  I've looked on the free searches but I can't seem to find anything.

The details I have are as follows.

Her father was Edward Major (bn 10 May 1925 Northampton).  Her mother was called Dorothy (unknown maiden name or date of birth but presumed to be from the Leicestershire area). 

Her name is Elizabeth Major and they believe she was born around 1953 again in the Leicestershire area.

I'm sorry the details are so vague but if anyone can help that would be great.
Nicholson - Hargrave/Raunds
Gates - Hargrave
Miller - Lytham
Kelly/Kelley - Cumbria/Isle of Man
Linnell - Silverstone
Major - Towcester
Martin - Cornwall/Isle of Man
Davy - Cornwall
Ayres - Helmdon
Hall - Rugby/Harborough Magna
