Have posted about this lot before & had a lot of help but have not progressed far since so wonder if any one can help with emigration & obituary lookups.
Gt Grandfather Ernest Wootten b1872 London abandoned wife & 2 daughters & came to New York about 1911 with second wife (?) Caroline Agnes Wootten nee Clinton b 1887 London,d March 21 1932, New York. They had 2 sons, Ernest Junior, b 12 Nov 1912 & d 24 Dec 1938, New York, & Albert b 1918 New York died Jan 1975 not known where.They were all in Brooklyn in the 1920 & 1930 censuses.
I can find no immigration record for Ernest or Caroline. Have looked at shipping records on Ancestry & Findmypast.com as well as the Ellis Island records.
I have the death certificates forCaroline & Ernest Junior, both werel iving in Brooklyn & cremated at Fresh Ponds Crematory, Middle Village, New York. I've written to the crematory to see if they have details on Ernest Snr & Albert but have had no response. Can find no record whatsoever of Ernest's death & date only & not place of death of Albert was listed on SSDI. I would dearly love to get their death certificates.
Can anyone help with immigration, death or obituary info? thanks
