The Kirk Session books are in Edinburgh at the National Archives of Scotland, HM General Register House, 2 Princes Street Edinburgh. EH1 3YY.

I was lucky as there was some one going through the Canonbie Kirk Session Book and I was put in touch with him and he also looked for my ancestor.
Otherewise I think it is quite a task to look through the books, but interesting.
