Have found James birth,  but it just says James George Belamy b 1896  in Gilbralter page 27

There is also,  Catalina BAYOQUI marrying James BELAMY in 1895 Gilbralter 1895 page 14

Was James birth also an army birth - you have to be specific which overseas register you are asking for - there are other registers. As with the marriage reference given you need details of the exact index.

born in Kempston and married a lady named caterine who was from gibraltar, their son was also born there, is there any possible way of finding out what he doing in gilbraltar in the first place?

yeah, i couldn't find much about him on ancestry. he's turning out to be one of the most interesting people on my tree. which is saying something!
