Can anyone tell me if its worth buying transcripts of the 1851 census ? What sort of info would they contain ?

you would hope that the full census entry is transcribed.

This would give names, ages, relationships, Occupation and Birthplace - and the place where enumerated, sometimes with a street address in 1851.

Is there a name you would like sought-out ?

Thanks for your reply Newfy and your offer of help I have located some family this far back and further and need to fill a few gaps on other family lines but it seems as though its worth buying.Thank you
