Belfast cemetery

My gr/grandparents  4 year old daughter died in Belfast in 1871 from Bronchitis/Measles.

They were living at Pilot st then which is down by the docks.

Can anyone tell me which is the nearest cemetery in this area, thats if there is still one there.

They were Protestant

Hi Maureen.
Clifton Street Cemetery is around about a mile from Pilot St., so I think it would be the nearest. Glenravel Local History Project have the registers for it online if you want to have a search in it. Web address below.

The City Cemetery, on the Falls Rd., would be a good second choice. An email to Belfast Parks and Cemeteries Dept., may bring a response.
Shankill Graveyard on the Shankill Rd., (long closed as a cemetery, now a Garden of Rest), could be another place for her burial, but I don't think the records are available. Someone else may be able to tell you if the records are available.

She isn't on the register at Clifton street so I will look into emailing the parks/cemeteries Dept
