Hello Emmie . I am John Mallinson's sister. We are hoping to visit Tullamore early June and plan to visit the library there to find out as much as we can about our Grandmother's family - grandmother was Annie Colsh born 1888/89 to Thomas and Catherine nee Gavin. We know Annie had a sister Elizabeth born either 1882 or 1887(conflicting records ) Elizabeth married a Samuel Montgomery  in Glasgow in 1903 - Samuel was also from Ireland. Annie  had  brothers William and Patrick who appear on the 1901 Census of Ireland and a niece Mary Kate Gavan then 4 years old was recorded as part of that family. Annie, Elizabeth and William all appear on the 1911 Census of Scotland. Does this information help at all ?

There was a William Colch who was a pilot in the US military in WWII who flew in the Pacific theatre of war.  I do not believe he is any relation to myself although there is a William Colch's thought to be in my direct line back around 1800.  Louis

This is very likely my father William Colsh (b 1925 Maplewood NJ; died 1984 Easton MD)
