Vic Lookup please - Byrns-Lynch marriage
« on: Wednesday 09 May 07 13:49 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Would love for someone to do a quick lookup for me. Details are very scant, unfortunately.

I am looking for the marriage of James BYRNS to Mary LYNCH sometime before 1845.

The only details I have are of their daughter Margaret's birth in Feb 1845, in Kilmore (the town north of Melbourne) - baptised Catholic. I can only find one other possible child for them - Ellen, born in 1851.

I have a possible emigration of James on the Agricola in October 1841 from Cork - no mention of Mary on the passenger list so either it's not the right James, or he married her here.

Any assistance appreciated!

Kez :)

Wow, that's wonderful! A whole tribe!

If these are the children of the right Mary and James, this gives me a whole lot more avenues to pursue. If Catherine is their daughter, that means they were here before 1839.

This information is going to make things a lot easier and also give me lots of late nights!

Thanks Jenn!

Just a note - the dates given before July 1853 are baptism dates - usually actual birth dates are also recorded on the baptism sheet.  The two baptized in 1842 are not necessarily twins (but might be!)
