I have been llokifn for ages for Sarah Anns detail and keep finding lots of possible but no definites can someone help me please?

Sarah Ann Unknown b.1854 Poleshill Coventry married to David Richards from Leicester. address in 1881 85 Denman Street Leicester. occupation housewife. at one point Hannah Moulding (b.1820) was living with David and Sarah as mother i obviously assumed that Sarah was therefore a Moulding but there was only one Sarah Ann Moulding b. in 1854 in Manchester, BMD index only one b.1854 sarah ann moulding manchester ... sarah ann moulding christened 11.11.1855 catherdral manchester father richard moulding, mother jane

other possible match Sarah Susannah Gazey christened 27.08.1854 saint paul, foleshil warwick (coventry) father Thomas Gazey mother Eliza

possible illegitamate child with house keeper maiden name Smart

none of the mothers names match and David parents were William Richards and mary Unknown both born in Leicetser.

if someone could help me this will help me get back further in my tree.

What you need is the marriage of David and Sarah, were the any children on the 81 census that would give a clue as to the date and place  of thier marriage as its a common name.

I have not managed to find Sarahs marriage to David as there are a lot of David Richards and without knowing Sarahs maiden name i cannot clarify which is the correct one without having to pruchase the certifcate.

She was born 1854 so the earliest marriage could be around 1872 sh.
 

Looking at the overall picture I would suggest that the marriage of Sarah Susannah Gazey to David Richards in Leicester 1873 March q 7a- 279 could be the right one, there is a clue in their children names, first two are Elizabeth and  Thomas after her parents.

Your best bet is to send for one of the children's birth to confirm her maiden name.

From the 1891 census mother-in-law seems an incorrect relationship for the 1901 census - more like aunt.

Sarah's name is given as Susannah on the 1901 census which would fit with the 1873 marriage. Sarah Ann on the 1881 census could have been a shortened version of Sarah Susannah. Sarah S. on the 1891 census.

Sarah's birthplace on the 1881 census was Foleshill (near) Coventry, as it was in 1891 and (not completely clear) looks like in 1901.

Presumably Sarah Suannah is listed just as Susannah in the census then.

did you get the info. from Ancestry? ias i had Hannah Moulding and not Anna Moulding

1881 Sarah Susannah is listed as Sarah Ann, 1891 as Sarah S., 1901 as Susannah.
It would be similar for Hannah/Anna. Hannah in 1901, Anna in 1891.
The information is from the census pages themselves, not just an indexer's version of what they think is written there e.g. Poleshill/Foleshill
On the 1891 census 'Anna' Moulding is residing with David Richards' father as William's sister-in-law.

Tracking Hannah Moulding back to the 1851 census her husband was called Thomas and their eldest child was aged 10 - all born Leicester.

Hannah may or may not be the sister of Mary Richards. Finding a marriage of a Hannah to a Thomas Moulding (which may be before civil registration) may help confirm William Richards marriage to which Mary through their surname, which if they were sisters would be the same.
