Newbie- Swift family scarborough

Hi

Im new here. Just starting out on the family tree trail!!

Looking for Swift family in Scarborough and also Shearstone surname in liverpool/ireland/scotland.

Bit lost as to where to start! I can get back to the 1901 census with the SWIFT name, but dont have the details. There is an ELIZABETH A SWIFT there, she would be about 14 and living in scarborough. Would be great to get the details if someone here could find it!!

Great!!!

My mother has just been telling me tonight that hse knew Hurd was in the Swift line somewhere!! Ive just seen on the IGI that there was a marriage between a Hannah Hurd and an Arthur Swift, though no exact match for the dates. Going to check out the BMD now!
