Wallsend Marriage and Baptism
« on: Monday 14 May 07 02:34 BST (UK) »
Could someone do a look up please in the parish registers of St. Peter's Wallsend for the marriage of Robert HORSLEY and Ann MADDISON . Hoping to find parents names and maybe where she was born.
I see there is a Ann Maddison born in Wallsend in 1786, but thats 10 years before I expected it as she states age of 45 in 1841 Census.

Many thanks
Lesley

Hi Lesley

Remember that 1841 census rounded ages down & women tended to make their ages close to the husband if they were older than same  :) I find the age of the last child is often a check for the age of a married woman in 1841.

The IGI has an extracted record for Ann Maddison, baptised 3 Aug 1788 Wallsend, parents George Maddison and Ann
