HI Megabelly
No sign of them at the moment but dates, of marriage or births may help a lot.

DMP,

my god someone else researching the Green(a)way family. I am also looking for information about Joseph and Martha, and I too have hit the same problem. Joeseph would have been my G, G,G,G grand father.

If you want to discuss this further then drop me a link to carl_hipkiss@hotmail.com

Regards

Carl.

Ray,

thanks for the prompt response. I am well impressed  :D

Anyway, Joseph Greenaway Married Martha Sheldon on 8th March 1846, they were both resident in Shavers End, Dudley. Joseph's father was Richard Greenaway. On 21st february 1849 they had a son Daniel, in Reds Hall, Dudley. Now after that its a mystery, I do not know whether Daniel is the first/only child. I can not find any reference to Joseph & Martha after that. When Daniel Married Ann Whittaker on August 28th 1876, Joseph is on the marriage certificate as dead, and a witness to the marriage is Richard Greenaway.

Now trawling throught he GRo indeses on 1837online the only death of a Joseph in Dudley is in ...on lord I have just realised I never wrote down the year, but the index is in hand writting so its before 1860.

I hope that is enough information, as its all I have really.

many thanks for your help.

Regards

Carl

Hi, would anyone happen to have an Ann Greenway Finney who married Albert Mirabeau Dowleans 21st October 1856, St Marys, Guildford Surrey in their tree? I am unsure if Annes middle name is Greenway or if her last name was Greenway-Finney. Even if her middle name was Greenway Im assuming it was a family members surname? Id love to know more about Annes family.

Thanks

Hi,
Sarah Greenway was born circa 1796, and was firstly married to William Holyman.
He died in 1827.
Sarah re-married in 1830 to John Dolbey in Dover, KENT.
The family emigrated to Tasmania Australia in 1836.
Love to hear from you, or any-one else researching the family.
