Hi Lulu
Unfortunately I don't have a marriage for my only two Sarah's that were born in 1796 so don't know whether either of them might be relevant, I would need to know where she was born and parents names to know whether I can help you at the moment.

Hi Threre,

I also have Greenaway interests!!

My Great Great grandmother was Elizabeth Ann Greenaway born in Victoria Australia in 1842. Her parents were John Greenaway 1822-1863 and Elizabeth Ann Hayman who married in Cornwall in 1841 and travelled to Australia that year on on the Westminster.

My reseach includes:
William Greenway c 1530
Ieronimus Greenwaie 1556 m M. Peate (Priste)
Jeremiah (jeremy Greewaye 1620 m M Marks
John Greenway 1657 m Agnes ?
William Greenway 1687 m S Sheppard
Richard Greenaway 176 m J GLidden
Thomas Greenaway 1759 m E Heddon
Thomas Greenaway 1795 m A Hore (Johns parents)

I am aware of someone else with this line of research on Ancestry.com I tried contacting them but had no reply. I have made contact with others in Canada but have since   lost theri email address.

Does my line fit withany  on this list?

Hi Robyn,
I have checked my list but unfortunately nothing I have fits in with the names, dates or spouses you mention although I have a considerable list of various spellings of the name.

G'day the Green(a)way group,

My lot come as far as I am able to tell from the Gloucestershire areas below:

Elizabeth Greenway married James Colborn(e) 10/12/1836 in Bristol.  Their daughter Emma (b 18/10/1843, Frampton Cotterell) married Henry Shepherd in Bristol 02/05/1865.

The convict turned New South Wales Government Architect, Sir Francis Greenway is related (at least anecdotally) to  Elizabeth Greenway.

Any information will be a bonus.  I have some information going back from Sir Francis for a few generations but not enough to prove or disprove the link to Elizabeth.

Regards
Robert & Karon

Ray,
Have you seen this site here in Australia: http://www.adb.online.anu.edu.au/biogs/A010434b.htm for Francis Greenway?

Hi
On my wife's tree she has quite a few Greenaways from Lower Gornal the first was Rachel Greenaway 1845 who married her G/Grandfather Thomas Parsons. Her Greenaway tree in Lower Gornal goes back to Joseph Greenaway 1773.

Jeremiah John Greenway (1620-1692) - father John Greenwaye (Johes Greenwaie) is my husband's 8th great grandfather. Jump through a few direct generations and we have Ann Dennis Nancy OKE (1803 - 1877) - my husband's 2nd great grandmother - migrating to South Australia in 1849 with her husband John CHAPPLE and children. Having spent the previous 9 years in Adelaide [capital city of the state], Ann journeyed for six weeks by bullock dray to the gold fields in Avoca, Central Highlands, Victoria. Consequently the CHAPPLE family is scattered throughout Victoria and New South Wales. My husband's family forms part of those who settled in New South Wales.
