Mary Medd-parents??

Hi all

Ive hit a bit of a brick wall with a MARY MEDD in my tree. She married a GEORGE SEDMAN in Allerston,  22nd April 1770, by banns. I have follwed George's line back to his parents and all his siblings, but i just cant seem to get back to Mary's parents!!

Mary is of the parish of Allerston and George is of Hackness. Presumably then she was born in Allerston sometime near 1750.

There is a marriage in Scalby between a Thomas Medd and a Mary Boys in 1741 and THomas is buried there in 1777 and also Mary Medd, widow, buried there in 1780. I can find no details of baptisms for their children in Scalby so could it be possible that they had children elsewhere and could possibly be the parents i am looking for??

Maybe im getting too desperate! Any information or ideas as to where to look next most welcome!!
