I have now recieved marriage cert after acting on imformation given kindly by Suzard, Samuel Lowen aged 31. a jeweller, living at 16, University street.      his father was Samuel Lowen , a printer.
married Eleanor Bishop, aged 19. address 35, Elmunington road, her father John Bishop, was a coachman.  they were married 25th Dec 1881 at the parish church Camberwell, Surrey.    so not the miner  :)
I am begining to think the Scotland lead for 1881 census is maybe a red herring.   Eilleen.
