I know about the Jane living with Joyce Griffiths as I posted the details in reply no. 8.

I am not missing any generations, father of Thomas is David. I can find no link between the families, it could just be a coincidence with a common name like Griffiths.

You gave the impression that you had the marriage certificate with father's name John and occupation fireman. If you don't have the marriage cert, you need to get a copy to confirm the father's details. Also, the names of the witnesses might help locate the correct Jane.

Carmarthenshire Archives has the non-conformist records. You could pay them to search for you.

Hello Osprey

In the quietness of the late evening hours, I have read again all of your posts
re Griffiths family.  You have been very thorough Osprey and also very generous
with your time in researching my Griffiths family!

My family thanks you very much!  All of you at RootsChat are to be
commended for your dedication in helping others trace their roots!

I will continue to study the information you sent me, and if I should have
a question or two, I hope you will see my post and respond. Thank you!

Best wishes

English Daisy

Note:

On your last post, you mentioned Jane Griffiths marriage certificate to
Robert Samuel Preston in 1869, at Church of St. Nicholas, Liverpool.

The witnesses were John Grayson and Margaret Maitlant. The spelling of Margaret's surname was difficult to read, because of the writing style! Both Robert and Jane's address at that time was Burlington St., Liverpool.
