Thank you Alli,

These Burial records are something I didn't have.

From what I can read above these are all decendants of Silas Gray my GGGGrandfather.

His sons children and their wives and their children who died so young :(

The Ann Gray mentioned was most likely Silas Grays son George's wife Ann or Anne ( Hallett )

" thomas gray aged 45yrs buried 15th jan 1863 "
He is most likely My GGgrandfather who lived at 1 Popehill Cottage Middle Chinnock during the 1861 census. He was 42  at the time of that census
Thomas Gray married Harriet Chant.
.
" william gray aged 61yrs buried 28th april 1883 "

Was most likely Thomas and George's brother.

"jemima gray aged 50yrs buried 16th dec 1886" - Was their sister

I'm pleased you were able to find this information for me Alli . :)
I appreciate the research you have done.

With the limited resources I have availabe , information like this makes it possibe to create a more complete picture of my family in the Chinnocks.

Thank-you

Robert Gray

Hi susan,

Here is some info for you concerning my side of the Garrett Family Tree.
We have no known relations in Melbourne.

My Garretts and Grays originally come from East and West Chinnock Somerset.
I have a Robert Garrett in my Tree. He went to New Zealand.
====================
Jane and Eliza GARRETT married 2 brothers,Silas and Walter Gray
both families emigrated to Australia in 1873. Between them they had 15 children .
Settled and farmed Ipswich area 35kms south west of Brisbane, QUEENSLAND
Jane died in 1921 and is buried at Mt Walker Queensland

Notes for ELIZA GARRETT:
Resided at North Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight (1871 Census) where she was living with her Parents.
Moved to Mutdapilly, Fassifern, Queensland in 1898.
Eliza's sister Jane married Walter's brother Silas.
Eliza was buried at Mutdapilly Cemetery.

The Garretts of East Chinnock
The earliest mention of a Garrett in East Chinnock is the 1779 marriage of
 Peter Garrett and Alice Reynolds.
The earliest ancestor in our branch is William Garrett born (c)1787 who
married Mary Corbin in 1813. I have not yet been able to confirm that
William is a son of Peter and Alice although his birth date would fit with
 others in their family.   William and Mary's children were;
(all births in this list were in East Chinnock unless otherwise stated)

Charles Garrett born 23 August 1813 married Maria Adams.
  Their children were;
Charles Garrett born 21 August 1840, baptised 3 September 1840.
Jane Garrett baptised 2 March 1845.  In 1866 she married Silas Gray* and
 went to Austrakia.
  Ann Garrett born (c)1846.
Eliza Garrett born (c)1848. In 1869 she married Walter Gray* and went to
 Australia.
Robert Garrett born on 31 May 1850. He went to New Zealand on the
Monarch'in1870.
  Mary Ann Garrett born (c)1852
Catrina Garrett christened 25 February 1816.

Eliza Garrett christened 30 May 1819.  In 1847 she married Esau Baker
their
 two children were; Mary Baker
(c)1861 born at Mudford and John Baker (c)1862  born at Ansford.
Matthew Garrett christened 21 March 1822. He migrated to Canada in 1842
Joel Garrett christened 20 March 1825. He followed Matthew to Canada.
Harriet Garrett christened 22 April 1827Charlotte Garrett born (c)1830,
 christened 7 February 1836.
Abraham Garrett born (c)1833, christened 7 February 1836. He married a
Rebecca, also from  East Chinnock, and they had seven children
  Albert Garrett (c)1857
  William Garrett (c)1865
  Eliza Garrett (c)1867
  Fanny Garrett (c)1871
  Shadrack Garrett (c)1874
  Elizabeth Garrett (c)1876
  Ellen Garrett (c)1876

William Garrett christened 7 February 1836.  He seems to have died before
 the1841 census.

 * The two Garrett sisters married Gray brothers who migrated to Australia
in 1873 on the "Storm King". They went farming and settled near each other at
 Ipswith (near Brisbane) in Queensland.
Another of the Gray brothers, Joseph, went to New Zealand with Robert
 Garrett.

I happen to be looking up the following address as it is the home of my 5 x Great Grandfather Thomas Gray and I found this page. I was a tad shocked but I see it's been a while hope they are still about and maybe get to see this post?
