Valda that's great it looks as though he was from the Marlow area if Mary (43)was his mother!

I'm afraid that is to much wishful thinking. The ages don't match up. Mary's birth year would be circa 1771.

It just shows there were Tuckwells in the area.

Can anyone tell me why Joseph Tuckwell (born abt 1776 in Berks) and his wife Lavinia (nee Green born 1787 in Chilton Berks) would have had 4 of their 6 children registered in both Cookham Berks and East Lockinge Wilts. 

The simple answer is that they didn't - there are no Tuckwells in the East Lockinge (Berks) parish registers.
