GOLDSWORTHY
« on: Tuesday 22 May 07 10:37 BST (UK) »
I am researching the GOLDSWORTHY family in Cornwall.

Richard GOLDSWORTHY b. 8 Dec 1843 Trewennack, Helston.
Son of:
Thomas GOLDSWORTHY and Christiana BOWDEN.
This is my direct line....Although I have many branches.

Am also working on a one name study of GOLDSWORTHY in Australia.  I've found that quite a few link in with my lot.

If anyone thinks they might link with my GOLDSWORTHY's, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I have 927 GOLDSWORTHY's in my actual tree, that's not including the ones in Aust. that aren't in my tree.

GOLDSWORTHY / TREMAYNE & variations / UREN & variations / BOWDEN  / SIRL in Cornwall
HOOPER in London
FRIEZER / FRIESER in England, Indonesia and Netherlands
TWIST in Lancashire
SEARLE in Dorset
JAMIESON / RENNIE or RANIE / EDMONDSON / CAMERON in Scotland
DOWNING / McKEOWN / MILLS / HANES and WYLIE in Ireland
McKEOWN in NY and Boston / RAPSEY in New Zealand
and many many more.  These are just the main ones

G'day Jackie,

I have some GOLDSWORTHY members in my family tree. They are not a direct line but are associated through marriage.

If you like I can send you a genealogical report on this Australian mob.

Hi,

I have many Goldsworthys from Cornwell on my tree also. Looking specifically for a Richard Goldsworthy who married Jemima Bennett in 1805? Any connections. Am having trouble tracking down the right ppl as there were many of them.  :)

thanks,
Dell.

G'day Dell,

The only Richard GOLDSWORTHY I have was christened 26 Dec 1809 in Camborne, Cornwall, England. His parents are John & Mary [ nee BATTRELL] GOLDSWORTHY.

Do they connection with your mob?

I have Mary Jane Goldsworthy in my family who is my great x3 grandmother.  She was born in 1845 in Helston Cornwall. She married Bennett Johns Rowe in Cornwall in 1863. They then moved to Wisbech Cambridgeshire. They both died in 1895 in a horse trap accident in the river Nene with their 14 year old daughter Clara. Hope this helps.
