Hi Hilary

This is just a thought... I have found an Isabella Robberts living with her parents George and Eleanor Roberts in 1841 census ...she has a load of siblings!
 HO107/945/6 fol 26 pg 15

I was just wondering if George married twice , the 2nd time to Maria, as it seems that there is a major gap between Isabella (b 1822) and her siblings in  the 1851 census!

Hi Deb

I had wondered if George had married a second time my self.

I tried to hafve a look at the 1841 census record from your refernece but it doesn't want to work.
Can you please check the numbers for me?

Thanks for that
Hilary

Edit: Opps, just noticed the double B in Robberts... I have it now, Thanks

Hi Fizzy,

Thanks for looking for me

This George and Maria appear too old, actually they could be his parents...

Thanks
Hilary

George would appear to have married Maria Curtis in  1840 in the Sturminster reg district which includes Shaftesbury, so they should be together somewhere in 1841.........

I also have George married to Maria Case 18 Feb 1822, from the IGI.
Which fits in with the George and Maria from the 1851 census and the Somerset BDM records.
http://www.dorset-opc.com/ShaftesburyFiles/HolyTrinity/ShaftHTBaps1813-1837.htm

The only reason I like the couple on the 1851 census is because the father, George is a 'Sawyer'
I'm trying to find a connection to my Albertina Roberts who said her father was George Roberts, a Sawyer on her marriage certificate.

Thanks for you help

When did albertina marry ? was she married by the 1841 census and where is she.

Where is the Shaftesbury baptism for Isabella 1822 ?

Why is there such a large gap between isabella and the next child jemima. Did they start a second family ?
