Death details

Hi all

Iv been going around the twist trying to find a marriage for a william wilson and a ann rice, but now iv decided to try a different route.
Im going to try and find the death of my william wilson.

So what i know is he had a child in 1864ish and was deceased before 1885 according to his sons marriage cert.
I also know he was a publican.

Would his death cert give me any info on how i might find him?

Death certificates list name, age (as given by informant), marital status, address, date & place of death, cause of death, name of informant, date of registration. They do not list spouse, children, parents, birthplace, exact birthdate, or religion.
