Parish Records - Surrey Marriage
« on: Monday 28 May 07 19:12 BST (UK) »
Anyone with Surrey Parish Records to locate marriage possibly Croydon of John Foit/Foight and Sarah Spratley about 1800. Would be very grateful. Have been searching for a long time. John was only on one Census 1841 from Foreign parts. Sarah has put Tintern Monmouthshire and Croydon Surrey on various Census. Have searched Tintern records but no luck. Thanks Syljun

Just a heads-up, Syljun, the SMI only covers St. John the Baptist church so they might have married in Croydon but at another church  :)

Thanks Kerry and Jane for your replies. John Foight became a Trustee of Methodist Church at Chepstow and was also a Baker and Confectioner which I believe gives weight to him
being a Lutheran so maybe they married at another Church.
Tricky one this as it is early 1800's. Thanks again.
