Warminster, BUTT, 1901
« on: Wednesday 30 May 07 22:47 BST (UK) »
Hi, I hope someone can help me.

I'm trying to locate any information on an Olive Bethia BUTT (b.1887) who married a Sidney POND (m. Jun 1909)

I can find a record of Olive's birth and marriage but nothing else. I've hunted through ancestry.co.uk and familysearch.org.

I'm hoping someone will be able to find her in the 1901 census with her family so I can take it from there as I've just spent about 40 minutes entering data every which way I can think of.

Many thanks,

-Ivan.

Many thanks for all that info, everything is perfectly spot on :D

We've got various notes on scraps of paper (taken from an extremely sketchy memory) and some names there are matching in those given.

Thank-yopu ever so much for the help :)

Just looked on http://freebmd.rootsweb.com and there is a George Butt born Wincanton in 1857/1861/1862 so we do need to be cautious and order the marriage cert. :-\

I have found George in 1861 with parents but as there are a couple if it were me I would order the marriage certificate of George and Clara and this would confirm Georges fathers name and occupation and then we can continue with census, :)
