McKinstry/Mcclung-Belfast
« on: Sunday 03 June 07 04:37 BST (UK) »
Nathaniel McKinstry B approx 1857, died Oct, 1898 on Hillview Street, Belfast.  Married Sarah McClung (father James McClung) Children Robert (died young), William (came to Canada-my grandfather), Sarah, Lucinda and Harrold.
Trying to discover who Nathaniel's father/mother were and from where?  Have other Mckinstry gravestone info from around the Belfast area if anyone is interested.  Willing to share.
Thanks

Welcome to Rootschat.
Nathaniel's marriage should list his father's name and that would at least give a clue as to who to his parents were. The name Nathaniel is probably not that common and maybe his father also had an uncommon Christian name.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thank you both.

The Marriage information that you sent mossey - would their be more than that info on the actual certificate aghadowey?
I know that Ballyclare is a place they (family) visited as children because of other family members in the area but have not found any yet.  Also I have found a Nathaniel )(death) in Kilwaughter in 1873 but not sure if this fits.

If you sent for the cert it would give fathers names and occupations.
