Ballymena Registrars Office
« on: Sunday 03 June 07 13:10 BST (UK) »
There appears that a number of Hutchinson's in the years 1850 -1870 have been listed as being married at the Ballymena Registrars Office in the Parish of Kirkinriola.  My question : Is there any place that would have these records available.

Thanks
Hutchinson / Miller / McNeice
Co. Antrim, Kirkinriola, Ballymena

Just be aware that your relatives might have had 2 weddings- a church service and then an official ceremony at the Registry Office.
Not sure of dates as they may vary depending on the particular religion but have come across Reformed Presbyterian (and other) churches performing marriage & couple having to get married in registry office. However, when an announcement is put in local paper it always mentions the church as the place of marriage. Something to do with certain places/ministers/religions not being authorised to perform legal marriages.
