1851 Census Please
« on: Tuesday 05 June 07 00:33 BST (UK) »
This is a bit vague, but someone might be able to find them on the 1851 Census.   Hoping they did not stray out of Worcestershire!

Looking for Charles and Jane WALKER.  Marriage date not known.

Charles born 1822 Kidderminster Worcs and Jane possibly born Upton on Severn or Upton Magna Worcs c1820-1823.

Many thanks.

Hello Tricia,

That is fantastic, thank you so much.  If you have the time (or the inclination/resources/goodness of heart!) would you be able to find the same family in 1861?

Hope the sun shines where you are tomorrow.

Tricia,
You are a star, a gem, a diamond!  I certainly did get a lot.  Thank you so much.

I have been confused (not difficult!) as on each of these 3 censuses (or is it censi?) the location is given as AVELEY - which I am informed via The Common Room is a parish in Essex!

So I assume for AVELEY I should read ALVELEY (Shropshire)?

Blimey - entirely my fault - blame it on the varifocals.

So sorry to confuse you but the first reference I found spelt it Aveley and I just continued the mistake.

Yes, it is Alverley Shropshire

Hangs head in shame..................
