I am trying to trace my family tree. They orginated in Cheltenham and was just wondering if anyone had come across the surname Spreag while doing searches in Glouchestershire.

I found 56 references to Spreag in Gloucestershire. However that will not help you. Who are you looking for and what do you know about him/her/them.
By the way, 53 of the references were of Cheltenham. :)
Southern or Southan [Hereford , Monmouthshire & Glos], Jenkins, Meredith and Morgan [Monmouthshire and Glos.], Murrill, Damary, Damry, Ray, Lawrence [all Middx. & London], Nethway from Kenn or Yatton. Also Riley and Lyons in South Africa and Riley from St. Helena.

Thanks for looking.  I have most information from my family bible but I am trying to get back further than 1840.  According to the Family Bile Richard Spreag married Mary Forty in 1840, so would like to try and get more info about his family.
