Hello Judy, I no longer live at Flosh, we sold it in Nov 2021. If you have any wills or details from the area, mentioning the surname Dobson, I’d be very interested in hearing about them.
Many thanks,
Duncan

Thankyou Judy, a Thomas Dobson lived at Flosh in the later 18th century. His gravestone is in Kirkland churchyard. His grave has leaned forward over the years and as it’s a brass plate, set into the stone, it’s been protected and is still easy to read. I’m pretty sure I found his will and that he had daughters. I may have the research about or it may still be in storage. If I find it I’ll let you know in case the daughters married into any families that you’re interested in. Duncan

Yes, #279. Using thegenealogist.co.uk to access the tithe maps it is possible to view as an overlay with an old OS map. The position and shape of the building are the same and the surrounding field boundaries also match perfectly.

ADDED: the field boundaries to the north (ie just across the road) are well-aligned on the modern satellite image too.
