My Kent Surnames
« on: Friday 08 June 07 17:23 BST (UK) »
I wonder if any body could help me with the following surnames:
Pope
Waterfield
Scarterfield.

All seem to come from the Chatham area of Kent.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

djcrtoye,

I know I have seen records for various Popes in the CityArk (Medway Ancestors) parish registers.  Since my Sarah Pope said she was born in the London area, I haven't made note of the records but the name always pops out at me.

Hello,

I have a strong connection with Popes in Kent.
