Hi David
Thank you for finding all that. It just leaves Eliza and Mary Ann's sister Rebecca's details to find. In the 1851 census, her place of birth is given as 'Sealtry', but there seems to be no such place, anywhere! Unfortunately, Rebecca died in 1855 ans so no more censuses to possibly help.
Anyway, thanks again for your help.

Where are you finding these clippings Mike?

Looking at FindMyPast - search only as I don't have a subscription - this one looks relevant

Mike / David
Thanks both for all those, amazing what extra stuff you've found.
I was puzzled about the 'Kensington' reference but, when I checked my record for W G Gray, I found that I had a Poll Book entry for him at ' 8 Worcester Terrace, BATH' which confirmed that. So that's a child I didn't know about!
The 1843 entry refers to their daughter Gertrude and 1837 to their daughter Emma.

Hi David/Cynfran

Kensington, is a part of Walcot, in Bath along the London Road (A4) (and London, but that's another story!!),

I have a transcription of all the personal announcements in the Bath Chronicle from 1831 to 1842 inclusive, so I can look up anyone, but it tends to be the more well-to-do who put announcements in the papers.

Mike, is that your own transcription or is it available anywhere online?

Cynfran, have you checked for your relatives' wills in the National Archives? There are certainly ones for Rebecca Goodridge and William Partridge. I can't see any direct clues to Henry Goodridge. William left part of his estate to his three Goodridge granddaughters but doesn't mention their parents. The will was written in 1835 so presumably both of the parents were dead by then. One of the executors is his friend Henry Edmund Goodridge, an architect in Bath. There must be a good chance that he was a relative of your Henry.

Hi David,

It's my own transcription, which I update and extend from time-to-time, I find it complements the census quite well. Henry Edmund Goodridge, is a historical character (see wikipedia)

Goodridge   Edmund James   15   M   Y   6/1 U   Son
Goodridge   Francis   10   M   Y   6/1 U
Goodridge   Matilda   6   F   Y   6/1 U   Bath   Somerset   Daughter   05/12/1834
Weeks   Emma   20   F   F.S.   Y   6/1
