William Pattie, Agnes Dickie
« on: Wednesday 13 June 07 12:52 BST (UK) »
They probably had an irregular marriage. They had 3 children Sarah born 1812, Eppie born in 1814 and Thomas born in 1816 all in Mousewald. I am trying to find out more about Williams parents, can anyone help?.

Hi

Found nothing on the IGI but this one from Scotland's People looks a possibility.

30/07/1780 PATTIE WILLIAM THOMAS PATTIE/ M Kirkpatrick Fleming (Dumfries) /DUMFRIES 837/ 0010 0111

Not finding a marriage for William & Agnes on Scotland's People or IGI but the children's births are there.

Hope this helps

Hi Stoop

Any suggestion I can make re their deaths is a look on Scotland's People BUT if they died pre 1855 they won't be there!

Pre 1855 if you can narrow down where they would have lived when they died it may be possible to get information from any mortcloth records held by the church9es) in the area. Not all of them have them.

I;d point you in the dirrection of the local family history society or the National Archives Scotland.

I can't find them on the 1841 either!
