lynnwin
you need the historical directories, thats the websites name.
The onsite one's are only part of a set Any main library in London will have the whole set in thier reference room.If you can get to one.The online ones take a bit of navigating but worth it if you cant :)

Hi Celia,
London isn't considered as in any county is it? I thought it might be in Surrey but I now see that London is a place unto itself at least as far as the directories go ???

I sure would like to know though what areas within London would have been upscale in the 1920's.  I wouldn't have an opportunity to go to the London Library as I am in the USA but I have been looking through the Historical Directories website which is very good. Thanks :D
