Smart family --again--

When you get a wedding cert it shows the status of the individuals before said marriage  i.e spinster-bachelor-widower etc.

Does a parish register also show this status?

I ask because i have a THOMAS SMART christened 1807 [dont know dob] with parents MOORE SMART & MARY unknown. IGI

Moore is christened 1784 Shearsby [no DOB] parents John Smart & Mary French. IGI

Then the IGI shows a marriage for MOORE SMART & JANE WESTON in 1821.

with an unusual  name of Moore i'm assuming this is the same Moore for both.IGI's  so--Moore married twice--MOORE/MARY unknown & MOORE/JANE WESTON but as i cant have a cert with the word  Widower on it as proof ---hence the parish register query Poli.

Seeing the date of Moor Smart’s  second Marriage
Was  24th. September 1821.
Then if the marked * Mary *   was his first Wife
Then  it could be a strong possibility ?

With regards to if “ status” is shown on the Parish Registers
The certificate is a direct copy of the Parish Register
and the information is given by the informant.
for which ever event it is

I found Moore Smart on someones tree on Ancestry today and have sent a contact email. Hopefully they'll get in touch and i may find out a bit more about Moore!! Poli.

 p.s All the Smarts i knew as a child came from the London area. Quite surprised to see they appear to hail from Leicestershire.
My geography [never my strong point] is improving all the time!

You said in an earlier post that certs reflect what is written on a register [or vice versa] so did the register entry for Moor/Jane  have Moor down as a widower? Poli.
