Military units in Forfar
« on: Saturday 16 June 07 05:40 BST (UK) »
Hello Can anyone offer any advice on military units based in Forfar during 1870's.  I have a Richard Relf who was a retired army pensioner living in Hull Yorkshire 1881-1901.  One of his sons age 9 in 1881 was born in Forfar Scotland and another age 6 in 1881 was born Donegal Ireland and I'm trying to find out what Regiments etc could have been in those places.  Richard is listed as Richard Rolf in Angus in ancestry index for 1871.
Thanks, Carmel
