My great uncle D'Arcy Julius Langner DID NOT style himself as Julian Langner, LA 1915!
D'Arcy Langner was my paternal grandmother, Lilian Langner's younger brother.
My grandmother married Louis Edmund Benjamin in Bevis Marks in January 1913 and left the following month for Cape Town, South Africa, where my grandfather was a KC and later a High Court Judge.
D'Arcy arrived in Cape Town in November 1914 (see record of voyage). He and his wife Gladys 'Bobs' Day visited regularly until the late 50's when he died. They had no children.
I have a good deal of Langner and Benjamin information but would like any details I can obtain on D'Arcy's mother Jane Jael Harriet Langner (nee Benjamin) who is an ancestor on both my Langner and Benjamin side.

My grandmother had a cousin, Lawrence Langner, born in Wales, who became a noted US theatre producer of particularly works by Eugene O'Neil. He married actress Armina Marshall in 1925. D'Arcy travelled to New York to visit them that same year. To the best of my knowledge that was his only US trip.
