would it be possible for someone to lookup the electoral rolls or poll books for lancashire for me, i need to find out who was living at a certain address betwwen 1915 and 1918 in order to prove that my great uncle was killed in the great war.

Manchester

On the Electoral Rolls I have seen they are Indexed by name rather than address.

Who would we need to look for at Higher Sheffield Street

Hi Sarah, the family I hope were living at the address are as follows.

Parents = James & Isabella warburton

Children = Charles, Arthur, & Thomas Amos.

On the Nat Roll list of Honour it has an 'A' and a 'C' Warburton who both served in ww1, and both have the same address, 'A' Warburton died in France 1917 and
'C' Warburton survived, It's very possible that they are both my grandfathers brothers, my grandfather being Thomas Amos Warburton.
