Hello;

I have finally got the marriage certificate of James Everitt and Mary Imm from 1841 in St Ives. James' father is listed as 'James Everitt' and both father and son were gardeners. One of the witnesses is a 'Elizabeth Everitt".

I have enclosed a link to a copy of the marriage certificate.

It looks like it's them then! :-)

I agree that it all looks very positive - James is the only Ever*t who shows with keyword Cherry or Hinton in any census. There's so much circumstantial evidence that it's hard to find anything that would cast a serious doubt

Hi Jamie

Following on from your marriage cert I have found a Jas Everet(1791c) and Elizabeth Everet(1791c) in the 1841 census with son Jas(20yrs) in St Ives.  I think this is our family as James is listed as a gardener. A 'Haunt Markham' mother in las is living with them. James & Elizabeth are in the 1851 & 1861 census' too.

So with info found we have James Everitt(1819) and his parents James Everitt and Elizabeth Markham. And Elizabeths mother Hannah Markham(probably!). Mary Imms parents are Thomas Imm and ??? Another needle found. Thanks!
Jennifer
