Dear Brian & Freda,

My names Andy Bird registrar of 235 Squadron, currently writing a book entitled 'Coastal Dawn' on 235, 236, 248 and 254 Squadron's in 1940.  To be published by Grub Street Publishing.

Unfortunately I do not have a photograph of Sgt. Gordon Wedlock DFM and therefore would very much appreciate if you could contact me as I would like to include one should one be in your possession? I can be reached on (*)

Thanks Ricky,
now I need to find whether they all took off from Manston in kent, and details on a relative  Gordon Wedlock who won a DFM in 1940, he was hit over the dutch coast and managed to bring the plane back in one piece, apparently the distance was 150 miles so I want to find which airfield he landed at.
Was it Manston? or was it somewhere in East Anglia?.

Any Suggestions where to look?

Hi,

My father served with 235 Squadron at RAF Leuchars in 1943 and I have an official Squadron Group photo with Beaufighter in background and also a smaller informal group photo. Can anyone identify any personnel?

Hi Ed, Thanks for your post. My dad, LAC Thomas Arthur Limb is on far left (with the overalls). I would be interested to see your other photos of 235 if you are willing to share them. regards Graham

Hi Graham, yes no problems. I am trying to establish the identity of a Billy Wilkinson who may be in this picture. Billy was my uncles' Navigator when they were lost over Norway/ North Sea, in 1943. John Ferguson who made contact through ww2talk is his relative. I am having difficulty putting the pictures on here. pm me your email and I will send them. Regards Ed.

Hi,

I am looking for information and photos of  F/Lt P.J.R Ross. He served in the squadron as Navigator. He has, among others, participated in the attack on the Prinz Eugen, shot down a Ju-290 in February 1944 (pilot F / Lt RR Wright) and he was awarded the DFC in May 1944.

Many thanks.

Regards.

Guillaume.
