Wanted: Family History Society booklet binders
« on: Saturday 13 March 04 23:11 GMT (UK) »
Does anybody know where I can get hold of some A5 size binders to put my FHS booklets in.

I nearly got some at a FH fair last week. They were nabbed just before I could!!

Have you tried www.genealogysupplies.com they list Binders for Family History & Certificate Binders for £14.95. There may be more mention of various other binders on their website.

Hope this helps

Regards Jen :)

Thanks Jen,

I did look there, they only appear to sell certificate and photo type ones.

Cheers Diane

Try www.sirdar.demon.co.uk for your Binders. They seem to sell stick-on strips for your A5 booklets to file them in an A5 2-ring binder. ISP too slow to get prices.

All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

Thanks for that Pauline,

Had a look but a bit pricey at £9 each, thats for a binder with 8 holders.

The ones at the FH fair were £4 each. I will have to enquire at a few more FHS sites and see what I can get.

Sometimes Family History family history soc themselves stock them.
About 15 years ago I purchased some from the West Surrey FHS. They may still sell them, I can't remember. if you still have problems let me know and I will look at a recent journal.

Julie

Thanks Julie,

I will enquire at my own FHS too. I belong to four this year, hopefully they may help, although they don't have them on the websites.
