1851 / 61 Lookup - POTTS New Mills
« on: Wednesday 08 December 04 22:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I wonder if someone could help.. I am trying to find a family in the New Mills area in the 1851 and 1861 census.

They are the POTTS.

The only strong date I have is for a

William R. POTTS b.1851

although I'm sure his father was a William too (though he could also have been a Richard).

If someone could have a look for me I would be so grateful,

Regards

Andy

Hi

I think you need a bit more information on this one.

The 1851 census was taken on 31st  March and your William R Potts must have been born after that date because there is nothing for him in the 1851 census index.  Do you know the mothers name?

Hello Andy

This is certainly achievable now............but more info is required! have you got any?

In 1841 their was 115 Pott/Potts living in GLOSSOP, DERBYSHIRE which is what New Mills comes under

Whatever you have........show it
