Wow, wonderful, that looks very promising Tati. Looks like you've found Pleasant's folks too! Pebige will be very pleased!

Ancestry wasn't giving me any results at all. I couldn't even find one of my people who I found a week ago so I know he's there. (I did find Walter's birth in Sheppy on free bmd though).

So is it likely that the parents died if the boys were in the workhouse?

PS Jenn, there was a blank where the surname should be.

wow what a lovely suprise I have just come home from work to find all this. I was wondering how he ended up in the workhouse and which if any were his brothers and sisters.

There is a death for a  Hector Ernest Hopkins  died 30/9/1972 aged 57 years at Daw Park SA buried in Alice Springs General Cemetery North Territory.
