The Smarts' yet again !

JOHN SMART b c1838 Shearsby Leicestershire. Parents Thomas & Elizabeth. siblings George,Mary,Elizabeth,Warrick,Wright,William

I have him in 1841/1851 census

1871 census married [1868] to Catherine Rhoda . living in St. Pancras, working as a railway checker.

1881 census m to Cath Rhoda. Peckwater St St pancras. Railway porter.

[Catherine Rhoda married again in 1885 to George oakley] i have cert.

John died then, between 1881-1885. haven't yet searched for DOB.

BUT cannot find him in 1861 !!

Try as i might until my eyes are crossed! no John in 1861 census.
Any one care to check for me or have any ideas why he doesn't show up in 1861. Hospital-prison -or where?

I realise that he didn't marry until 1868 so in reality he could be anywhere.    Poli.

There is a John Smart listed age 25, occupation unknown, birthplace unknown - a visitor Newington Surrey - relatively close to London - interesting as to why the unknowns  RG9/345 28/4

There is also a list of missing pieces given on ancestry - unfortunately need to lookup at archives to find the locations
