we are interested in any info re charles pulford born 1773 in norfolk and died 1/9/1850. he married susannah pitt who was born in gt yarmouth in 1778 and died  9/6/1850.they married at bungay on 26/3/1809.

Do you have specific info about Charles and his parents and family?
Or do you know where we might find out?

He was my g-g-g-grandfather whose son came to australia in 1856.

We also would like to know what happened to any of his other children

No specific info on the family, just looked them up in the 1841 census in case you didn't have that.  You didn't say exactly what you already know, I can go forward with census look-ups for you for the family.

Thanks for your offer, but we do not know where he was born.

I have another query that you may be able to help with. When I was at school in Norwich in the sixties, there were many students with brightly coloured scarves that I think indicated uni's or colleges that they attended. Do you know if that was the case, and if it was, are they still available. I have been in Australia since 1963 so cannot ask anyone.

Hi hummingbirdp,

I suspect he was born in South Town, which theoretically is in Suffolk but as it is still Yarmouth hence might just be in the Noefolk Record Office.  He was buried in South town.

There are a lot of Pulfords that give Yarmouth as Place of birth but the PR's have been checked and none turned up around that period.

If you are going to the record office I would appreciate it if you could try to find him. There's a George of about 1801 I'm looking for too.
