Bagley 1851
« on: Monday 25 June 07 12:49 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find Charles Bagley in the 1851 census, he was born in 1848 in Lynn Norfolk (1881 states it as being Lynn Norfold!) and married Ellen Pugh in 1871 when he was living in Liverpool. They later moved to The Wirral and Ellen died in 1881, Charles then married a Margaret Pugh who I think may have been Ellens sister.   That is about all I can find out about him but if it is of any help the name Edward also seems to run in the family ::)

Hi Ricky,
Thanks you have made my day! If thats the family my son in law will be thrilled as he is called James too. Bagley is another one of those names that seem to have so many connotations. It must have been so difficult for those who could write back then to decide what name was given to them for the census, baptism, marriage and death records.
The name Millership (hubby's family) has been transformed over the years to so many different spellings I have lost count ;D
