Samuel McGowan & Mary Wilkie married on the 8th. Sept 1871 at the United Presbyterian Church @ Lennoxtown , Campsie.

His parents were William McGowan and his wife  Janet Scott.

Are there any records of these parents anywhere ?

2/  would Samuel have had any Siblings

Was Samuel living in Campsie do you know ? Was the norm for the wedding to take place in the bride's parish. Would help to establish this before trying to find William and Janet.

Do you know how old he was when he married ?

If we can establish where they were they should be on the 1871 census and this would give siblings if they still lived at home. I have had a quick look but no William or Samuel McGowan living in Campsie in 1871 which suggests Samuel was from outside the parish
