Hi Heather B. I'm the friend that Doreen C is helping.If you have Tuckwoods in your family,may be you can share some of your info.I'm stuck on my Great-Grandfather.Can't find his d.o.b or place.Any ideas?
All I have is;
Married Lucy Mary Tissington 24th August 1886 Age given as 30yrs.Occupation given as Shoe finisher
Died Leicester infirmary Feb 15th 1899 Age given as 45yrs

Had a son William Graham who married Kate Dyer 26th Dec 1914
He had a son William Jarvis who married Gertrude Emily Pinnell on the 5th August 1945.I'm the eldest daughter of William Jarvis.
He can't be found on any of the census.Lucy is on the 1901 as a widow with William Graham,Lucy Rebecca and Helen or Ellen.If you can help I would be really greatful.

there is a william tuckwood age 7 in the 1861 census birthplace. leicestershire.
living at burton hill,burton-on-the-wolds,leicestershire. the age ties in with the age given at his death
but whether it is him or not is another matter.

sorry about this but it now appears that this is not the person you are looking for, in 1881 this william is a baker and is also married to clara tuckwood.

Yes the William 1854 Burton on the Wolds is one of mine and still married to Clara in subsequent censuses. There is another thread from Margaret which covers the same ground.
