That directory is brilliant!! Thank you Janice.. :-*

Ive found both Henry and Peter listed  on the 1921 and 18 so far

living at 95 Perth Ave and 9 Lakeview Avenue, respectively..Henry is down as Harry..and in 1922 they live at 411 Landsdowne Ave(which confirms what I had) and 55 Edwin Avenue Toronto

Marvellous! Thank you so much!

You can order the full military file from the Archives. Here is the link to show you how.

http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/cef/001042-130-e.html#g

Google Maps  (If this link doesn't work, just go to Google Maps and type in Lansdowne Ave Toronto. You will see that it is very close (just south) to where Peter was living.)
http://maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&q=

Here is a site that will show you some pictures of the area.

Toronto Public Library - Historcity

I will continue to look for them in the Toronto Star.

Front of Attestation Papers:
"Discharged Drunkeness C______ Camp 8-4-15"  (I am assuming that this would be a training camp(?)

Back of Attestation Papers:
"Small Systic Growth internal to the point of left shoulder blade"
"Two vaccination marks on left arm."

The full file should show more on this.

Thanks Janice for the links especially for the full military file. Found loads of listings of addresses for the pair of brothers right through to the twenties, very useful! :) Especially as I found his son's occupation in the 1912..a plumber..helps to come forward, knowing that..

Someone out there had/has a Dad Henry/ Harry Oswald who was a plumber living in Toronto early 1900's.. Makes me wonder if the plumber's child was named Harry/Henry too, after him and his dad..there might be a Henry Oswald born c1930 out there with a dad called Henry/Harry who was a plumber and a grandad called Henry/Harry who was an Iron Moulder who came over from Dunbartonshire/Glasgow in 1907 on the Mongolian from Glasgow with his wife Margaret living in around Toronto West.. Someomes Grandma Henry and Maggie..Henry's Brother who stayed in Scotland was my Grans Dad

JJ ..is that next of kin Mrs H Oswald or Mr do you think?? if its a mrs then his mother was not an H she was an M for Maggie
Henry Jnr was born in1898 on the 1911 census hes down as 14..  in the 1912 directory hes listed as a Plumber living with dad..so steam fitter?? could be?? but the age is out a bit ...on the 1901 census in the UK hes listed as age 3 when this would have him age 6 in 1901.. will save the files anyway thank you for that, you never know! ;D

Just looked at all the addresses I have listed from them both in the 1910-20's..its nice to know that their families both stayed so close to each other :)..Might indicate that desire continued to this day and could help with tracing them..Going to have a look through the white pages today see if any Oswalds live in this area. Thank you for ther maps Janice.

TTtt :'( Sadly just found a death entry for Henry and Margarets daughter, says she had appendicitis for 5 days and had peritinitis for 2 days before dying aged 17 yrs 10 months.

Poor lass!! Says she was in Grace Hospital and was buried at Park Lawn?? Not sure what Park Lawn is other than guessing maybe she had her ashes scattered on the local park lawn???

What is good is that her mums maiden name is listed and another address in the locality ..so sad
