Looking for Etherington
« on: Friday 29 June 07 19:57 BST (UK) »
I am looking for Margaret Etherington. (born approx 1819)
I have her in the 1841 census in St. Mary, Carlise with her husband James Yeadon (spelt Yeaton in the census).
I can not find any trace of their mariage, or birth.
They moved south and had four children in Yorkshire and Lancashire. Margaret died 21/7/1850 in Burnley, aged 31.
Can anyone help ?
Wendy

Hi Wendy,

Do you know where Margaret and James were born? St Mary? Carlisle?

When was their first child born?

Have you tried looking for her under Hetherington or Ethrington?

Just wondering:)

I do not know where James or Margaret were born. On 1841 census Margaret is given as being born in Cumberland. No indication for James.
Their first child (children) were twins Thomas and James born 31/7/1843 in Bentham, York.
James (father) was a "block cutter" seen on 1841 census, sons' birth certificate and Margaret's death certificate.
I have tried looking for Etherington and Hetherington, without success.
