I am Researching for  Private P Dooley service No 8502 he was with the Royal Irish Regiment 1914/1918 war I  have a medal with his name on it reads for long service  and good conduct .

Ireland was still part of the United Kingdom at the time of the first World War and Irish military personnel were in the British Army. You should find the records you require at Kew, with all the other British Military records. www.rootsweb.com/~fianna/guide/military.html
