WOODCOCK, Torquay/Torbay abt 1969
« on: Sunday 01 July 07 14:12 BST (UK) »
I've been trying to locate the death of my grandfather, Celestine Cyril Woodcock so I can order the death certificate and try to get hold of his war records during WW1.

I know he was buried in Torquay (only just found this out) and I've searched on FreeBMD, Ancestry and FamilySearch to no avail.

If someone is able to help track him down I'd be extremely grateful.
Derby: WOODCOCK (Donnington)
Devon: HARRIS (Plymouth)
Lancashire: DERRICK
Lincolnshire: CROPPER, WOODCOCK (Boston)
London: BARKER, DUGGIN, HARRIS, HINTON, HULBERT, WHITE
Wales: HARRIS, PRITCHARD (Pembrokeshire)
Warwickshire: DERRICK, WOODCOCK
Desperate for my Woodcocks from Birmingham!

assume you've searched the FULL/COMPLETE non-indexed records on Ancestry ?

Do you know his age at death - or DoB ?

Many thanks Newfy, I can't thank you enough for locating that.

I did try searching Ancestry but obviously not where you did!

All we had was his year of birth (1895) and we thought he died in 1969 (mother's memory) but she's not that far wrong, only a year out.

Once again, thank-you ever so much for that find, I've been searching for months now and then thinking that the records hadn't been transcribed yet!
